Progress Update on Smart City Initiatives in Udaipur
Udaipur Smart City is making significant progress with integrated tender documents prepared for various components like Water Supply, Sewerage, Electrical, Utility Ducting, and Smart Roads. They are focusing on smart solutions including Wi-Fi, lighting systems, surveillance, and transportation management. Performance-based contracts for smart water supply systems worth INR 350 Crores are in place. Initiatives include heritage conservation, bio-toilets, parking sensors, and undergrounding utility ducting in the city. Considerable advancements have been made in the development of smart road components.

Udaipur Smart City SUMMARY OF PROGRESS A. An Integrated Tender Document is being prepared to cater to the following components Water Supply, Sewerage, Electrical, Utility Ducting and Smart Roads. It will cater to all the ducting needs as also the Smart Components related to the development of Roads Wi-Fi Solutions, Smart Lighting System, Smart City Surveillance, Smart Parking Solutions, Smart Transport Management System, Pedestrianization etc. A detailed overview with respect to the same can be had in the Slides 3-5 However, the space requirements of Tender SURE restricts its application, in entirety, to ROW having width 21 meters or more. In the walled city; lane width / ROW varies from 12 m to 3 m (as per reconnaissance survey done in 3rd week of August 2016) at majority of the places and therefore effecting Tender SURE guidelines, in entirety, feasibility seems difficult in the walled city area. Development of all main roads under ABD area as smart roads B. Redevelopment of street and junctions for which designs have already been prepared USCL and Nagar Nigam jointly started the junction improvement work with the technical assistance of ICLIE, Smart City Partner of Udaipur for Surajpol Junction. Junction redesigning and planning has been done by ICLIE and the detail modal was discussed with transport, police and local administration and practical demonstration successfully implemented with the help of traffic police. USCL has gone ahead with the implementation of the same. Currently work is underway for the Landscape design finalization for Suraj Pol so that Tender can be floated. Plan is underway for implementation for 2 more junctions Delhi Gate and Hathi Pol
Udaipur Smart City SUMMARY OF PROGRESS C. Performance based contracts for management of smart water supply systems Contract worth INR 350 Crores has already been prepared. DPR with respect to the detailed Water Supply Network is being prepared by Wapcos and is expected shortly. The same will be incorporated into the integrated tender document about which was mentioned in point no A D. 3 Modules have already been initiated Surveillance Analytics & Forensics Helpline A working prototype of the Command and Control Center is nearing completion with the following details Air Quality Monitoring System Camera feed from Tourist places Mapping of Community Toilets in the map of Udaipur Community Hall Online Booking Status City Bus Service Application Solid Waste Vehicle GPS Tracking System LED Lighting Application Integrated control and command centre having all the modules 10 modules are under consideration . Consideration is on for integrating the proposed modules with the existing ones

Udaipur Smart City SMART ROAD COMPONENTS (CONTD ) MID WAY SURVEILLANCE 6 LIVE VIDEO FEED OF TOURIST AREAS 7 SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED IN 80 + IROAD INTERSECTIONS ACROSS THE WALLED CITY 250 CAMERAS TO BE INSTALLED LIVE VIDEO FEED OF TOURIST AREAS ALREADY IN PLACE IN GANGAUR GHAT & FATEH SAGAR AREAS PEDESTRIANIZATION & E-RICKSHAW 8 E-RICKSHAWS TO TRAVERSE FROM RANGNIWAS TO GHANTAGHAR 10 VMS SCREENS POLLUTION SENSORS/ TEMPERATURE SENSORS 9 VMS SCREENS TO BE IN PLACE IN ALL PARKING LOCATIONS ACROSS THE CITY IN ADDITION TO 10 MAJOR LOCATIONS RAJ VAYU WILL BE INTEGRATED WITH THE INITIATIVE RELATED TO INSTALLATION OF AMBIENT AIR QUALITY MONITORING FACILITY. THE DATA WILL BE PROPAGATED THROUGH THE INSTALLATION OF VMS SCREENS NEXT
