All Have Sinned Ro 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Physical Death is Not The End! Our physical body will perish. Our spirit will live on for all eternity. The saved will inherit eternal life. Sinners will also inherit eternal life. Not the same eternal life.
Two Different Outcomes: Eternity in the presence of God John 14:1-3 Hell prepared for the devil and his angels Matt. 25:41
No Sin in Heaven: Rev 21:27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. We need to be saved from that hell. What must I do to be saved?
What must I do to be saved? Some say, You don t have to do anything to be saved. 1 John 4:16, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Peter 4:11 Some agree there is something you must do to be saved. They say believe in Jesus. John 8:24 They say repent. Luke 13:5
The Sinners Prayer God hears the prayer of the righteous. Psalm 15:29 We do find a case where a sinner with a good and honest heart prays to God and his prayers are answered. Acts 10:1-43 Cornelius told he must do something. Peter preached the Gospel. Cornelius baptized.
Good and Honest Hearts: Hearing the Gospel preached will generate belief that Jesus is indeed the Son of God and that He was crucified for the remission of our sins. Rom 10:14, Rom 10:17 It will lead us to confess that very belief Rom 10:9 Then you must repent of your sins. Acts 3:18-19
From sinner to justified believer: You MUST be baptized into Christ: Peter commanded Cornelius to be baptized. Acts 10:6 Ac 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
From sinner to justified believer: Ac 2:41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. Ac 8:12 But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. Ac 8:36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?" 37 Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
From sinner to justified believer: 38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him Ac 18:8 Then Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his household. And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized. 1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ
