Nutrient Analysis Using food composition database, analyse the energy and nutrient content of different food items.
Guidelines of analysing nutritional content of each serving of food 1. In deciding the energy and nutritional content of a food item, we first need: the ingredient list of the food item the number of servings from the recipe 2. Look up the nutritional profile for each individual ingredient from food composition database convert the unit of ingredients corresponding to the database 3. Calculate the amount of energy and nutrient that each ingredient gives 4. Add up the amount of nutrients from all ingredients 5. Divide the nutritional profile by number of servings from the recipe 2
