Workforce Intelligence Trainees need to be aware of changes to workforce requirements with respect to medical specialties. Due to changing patient demographics, limited resources and changes to Government priorities, there is an increased emphasis on recruitment to certain specialties. This may effect how competitive certain specialties become (both for training and consultant posts.) Increase training posts in GP and Psychiatry. NB Aminimum standard level still has to be achieved to be offered a post. @NHS_HealthEdEng

Know the dates! Generally: o Application Window Mid November to early December o Interviews January to February o Offers: Late February to mid March. Register with Oriel early. Oriel is an electronic application portal.
