The NHS Grampian Pharmacy First Service has replaced the Minor Ailment Service, providing essential healthcare support since 2006. Eligibility criteria include being registered with a GP practice in Scotland or the Defence Medical Services. The new Cake Model of Payment incentivizes community pharmacies to offer consultations and receive extra activity payments based on the number of consultations recorded. Vital ingredients for consultations include advice, referral, and treatment. Pharmacists need to record consultations daily and weekly to qualify for additional payments.
