Frequently Asked Questions Frequently Asked Questions Question Do we get to work out in the gym and play sport? Answer Due to this course being a Certificate III, there is a large theory component in the course. Of the 3 lessons per week, there will always be 1 theory lesson and sometimes 2. In regards to working out, most times when we are in the gym we are learning the correct technique or how to instruct others through a number of different scenarios.

Answer You do not have to work in a gym, however you will be required to run about 6 sessions (approx. 6 hours) in our school gym outside of school time. These sessions will be demonstrating your skills in training an older client as a part of your major practical assessment.

Answer Students need to display good quality written and spoken communication skills and an enthusiasm/motivation to participate in physical activity. Students should have achieved at least a satisfactory rating in year 10 English.
