  2. Objectives Trace the steps to follow when signing in/out of the LMC, checking out a book, using a computer, or making up work. Identify the locations in the LMC where fiction and nonfiction resources/books can be found. Identify the area of the LMC where students can and cannot check-out resources/books from. Utilize/use the Library website to locate print and/or digital resources via Follett Destiny Discover, Abdo Digital, and library LINKS. Be familiar with how to request a library book for delivery.

  3. General Guidelines Hours of Operation: 8:00 3:00 : Mrs. Weldon will stay later if needed. Please make afterschool reservations in advance. All students who stay after school me be picked up no later than 4:15. Students must present a library pass and sign-in at one of the registration computers. Be sure to sign-out when leaving the LMC. When students come as a class this procedure is not necessary.

  4. General Guidelines (Continued) Students looking for a book should always use a shelf marker which can be found at the circulation desk. Students may visit the LMC once a day to check books in or out. Students may check out fiction and non-fiction books only. Reference books are reserved for use in the LMC or the classroom. Students who will need to use a computer will need to check-out a computer from the LMC Staff @ the Circulation Desk.

  8. Follett Destiny Discover Follett Destiny Discover is the name of the PJHS Online Public Access Catalog which houses a listing of all the resources our library has, both print and digital. To log-in to Follett Destiny Discover you will use your s-code or s#. In the next few weeks you will receive your own library card which has this number along with your LMC barcode on it. You must log-in to view all e-Books.

  9. ABDO Digital Abdo Digital is a Online Digital Library containing Non-Fiction eBooks. To log onto this website, use the PJHS Student computer username and password. Username: pjhs.student Password: student

  10. Library Book Delivery Service Would you like to get a book from the PJHS Library Media Center but don't have time to stop by, no problem! Using Destiny Discover, identify/find a book you would like to check-out Write down it's title, author, and call number; then Visit the link on the library webpage to submit your request. We'll check the book out to you and deliver it in no time.

  11. Miscellaneous Information The Alabama Virtual Library is a great reference source for all research. There is a link on the Library section of the school website. No AVL card is needed to use this site at home or school Be sure to visit the Library section of the school website for links to many useful websites.
