.

I am going to buy

Like ‘I am going to …’ in English, 
le futur proche 
in French is used to talk
about something you plan to do in the near future.

But in French, as in English, there is another future tense, which is used to
talk about something
 
you’re thinking of doing at some time in the future (but
you’re not sure when). This is called 
le
 
futur simple 
and is equivalent to the
English 
‘I will …’
.
Note, however:
In French 
le futur simple 
consists of just one word; the 
‘will
 bit of the English
future is added on to the end of the verb
.
You simply take the verb in its infinitive form and add the following endings:
