Jindal India Power Limited (JIPL) operates a 1200 MW coal-based thermal power plant in Odisha, consisting of two 600 MW units fully operational since 2015. The plant efficiently sources coal from nearby mines and water from the Brahmani River.

The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar, located 180 km away, while Talcher Road Railway Station is 45 km from the plant. Paradip Port, the closest port, is 230 km away and connected by road.
