Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem Palm Sunday One week before His death Called the King who comes in the name of the Lord Dan. 9:24 26a fulfilled
Jesus wept over Jerusalem Why? He knew the judgments that were coming Israel did not recognize the time of her visitation. Visitation of what? Messiah It had been hidden from their eyes By whom? Not by God!!!! In A.D. 70 the Romans destroyed Jerusalem Not a nation again until 1948 Dan. 9:24-26a Messiah/anointed one would come
Vs. 1-11 Speaking to Jesus disciples as they admired the beauty of the Temple Told them it would be torn down This occurred in A.D. 70 Teacher .What will be the sign? When? Warning: Do not be misled Instruction: Do not go after false Christs Do not be terrified The end does not follow immediately Sounds like Matt. 24:2-7
Vs. 12-19 Before Now He speaks of the persecution of His disciples Delivered to the synagogues and prisons Brought up before kings and governors Betrayed by family and friends Some will be put to death This will be an opportunity for testimony Make up your minds: don t defend yourselves By your endurance you gain eternal life I will give you utterance and wisdom Before all these things .
Vs. 20-24 Jerusalems desolation: Days of vengeance A.D. 70 Jesus answers vs. 7 When? Jerusalem is surrounded by armies Those in Judea, flee, in the city .. Why: Her desolation is near Why: She did not recognize the time of her visitation His coming as Messiah (19:44)
21:23 Great distress upon the land 21:23 Wrath upon the Jews 21:24 Jews will fall by the sword 21:24 Jews led captive into all the nations This happened in A.D. 70 21:24 Jerusalem trampled under foot by the Gentiles UNTIL fulfilled. (which is still happening) It does NOT UNTIL the times of the Gentiles are NOT happen like this in the end times

Dont be misled (8) Don t go after false prophets (8) Don t be terrified (9) Make up your mind NOT to prepare before hand to defend yourselves (14) By your endurance you gain your lives (19) Recognize that Jerusalem s desolation is near (20) Straighten up and lift up your heads when these things take place (28)
Recognize that the kingdom of God is near (31) Be on guard so that your hearts will not be weighted down (34) Keep on the alert at ALL times (36) Pray that you may have strength to escape all these things and to stand before the Son of Man (36)
Do not be led astray STAND FIRM Do not be frightened Perfect love casts out fear Recognize! Because you ve studied to show yourself approved unto God. Be on your guard!!! Guard your heart!!
