Class of 2024 RSVP: Seniors who complete 60 hours of community service receive a white cord to wear at graduation. Hours can begin to count beginning April 1, 2023 and end March 31, 2024. Document hours in x2vol
Class of 2024 Commit to Graduate Gown: If your senior has not already signed the gown, have them come to the senior office to sign. The gown will be on display until Senior Sunset.
Exemption guidelines Seniors may exempt exams with a 70 average AND 3 or fewer absences 1.An average of 80 or higher 2.No more than 5 non-school related absences 3.No more than 10 tardies 4.no N in conduct for the course or U in conduct for any class 5.No ISS. OSS, OAC/DAEP placement 6.No outstanding fees or fines 7.Be enrolled in the class by 08/29 (first semester) and 01/17 ( second semester) 8.Meet campus requirements related to exemption submission deadlines
Class of 2024 Tardies are checked weekly on Fridays 5 - 7 tardies = 2 hour detention 8+ tardies = 4 hour detention Failure to serve the 2 hour detention = 4 hour detention Failure to serve the 4 hour detention = Overnight suspension (mandatory parent meeting) + reschedule 4 hour detention Failure to serve the second 4 hour detention = ISS Tardy Tardy Process Process
Class of 2024 Dress Code: Please remind your senior to be in dress code during the school day. Repeated instances of dress code violation can result in ISS.

Class of 2024 Credit Requirements Credit Requirements
Class of 2024 Top 10% Rule Top 10% Rule A student whose class rank is in the top 10 percent of the graduating class may be eligible for automatic admission consideration at a Texas public college or university. *Class rank must be based on the student s rank at the end of the 11thgrade, middle of 12th grade, or at high school graduation, whichever is most recent at the college or university s application deadline.
Class of 2024 Attendance Matters Attendance Matters Attendance counts towards earning credit: If a student falls below 75% attendance for any class period, credit for the course will be denied, regardless of a passing grade A plan for regaining credit will be implemented consisting of after/before school tutorials to regain seat time. If a student starts to struggle with attending a class/classes, speak with a staff member (teacher, counselor, administrator). We are here to help you problem solve. Everyone s goal is to see all seniors walk across the stage.

In accordance with Texas Education Code (TEC) 28.0256, beginning with students enrolled in 12th grade during the 2021-2022 school year, each student MUST do one of the following in order to graduate: Class of 2024 Graduation Graduation Requirement Requirement Complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Complete and submit a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA); or Submit a signed opt-out form - completing this form does not keep you from undoing a FAFSA or TASFA in the future when they open The FAFSA & TASFA will be available some time in December of 2023 this year.
Class of 2024 Military Military For students enlisting in the military, students will need to turn in their enlistment papers to Mrs. Cochran in order to be recognized at graduation and receive their cords. Deadline for this will be May 1, 2024

Class of 2024 College Readiness College Readiness Before students cannot take credit bearing courses in college prior to meeting College Readiness Standards through the SAT, ACT or TSIA. SAT - 480+ on ELAR and 530+ on Math ACT - 23+ Compositie with 40+ on English + Reading and 22+ on Math If your student does not have these scores, they can take the TSIA.
