IG-01 LOCAL OPTION TAX
 
 
Proposed Policy: Gives counties authority to implement a local option
sales tax.
 
Sponsor: Tom Dale, Canyon County Commissioner
 
Fiscal Impact: Temporary tax increase to counties.
 
 
IG-02 BALLOT RECOUNT
 
 
Proposed Policy: Add language to make certain that ballots remain
sealed once they have been counted on Election Day until the recount
period has passed.
 
Sponsor: Pam Eckhardt, Bingham County Clerk

IG-03 LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
EXEMPTION
 
 
Proposed Policy: To clarify that “lots” or “parcels” actively devoted to
agriculture would be exempt from LIDs.
 
Sponsor: Dick Fosbury, Blaine County Commissioner
 
Fiscal Impact: Revenue would increase as all non-ag parcels would be
included in the LID.
 
IG-04 HOMEOWNER’S EXEMPTION
 
 
Proposed Policy: Amend the homeowner’s exemption to include the
impact of inflation and rising home values.
 
Sponsor: Rick Visser, Ada County Commissioner
 
Fiscal Impact: Tax shift.
 
IG-05 SENIOR CITIZEN PROPERTY TAX
EXEMPTION
 
Proposed Policy: Exempt (most) Idaho senior citizen homeowners
from property tax add ons, such as bonds and levies.
 
Sponsor: Rick Visser, Ada County Commissioner
 
Fiscal Impact: Tax shift.
 
 
JPS-01 PRE-ADJUDICATED PROGRAMS AND FEES
FOR JUVENILES
 
Proposed Policy: Allow judges to order pre-adjudicated programs and
allow the collection of fees through Odyssey.
