Hypothesis Testing Making claims about a population Null Hypothesis: The Null hypothesis, denoted by H0 is a statement about a population. We assume this statement is true until proven otherwise.
A Claim CLAIM (H0) : The new drug relieves migraine 70% of the time. SAMPLE: A newspaper investigates this claim by getting migraine sufferers to try the new drug.
