  1. GRIHA Exemplary Performance Awards for Existing Day-schools Guidelines for Existing Day-schools 1. For participation in the aforementioned award category, School Principal or teachers should fill the presentation template that is given with the guidelines in .pptx format. 2. Schools should highlight the interventions undertaken in all 4 categories. The weightages of each category have been defined in the upcoming slides. 3. Schools should explain their strategies as per the instructions given under each category in the subsequent slides and aide it with pictures. The presentation should not exceed a maximum of 15 slides. Submit a single presentation consisting all the categories that have been mentioned. 4. Schools can mention their ongoing or completed interventions. Proposed plans may not be included in the presentation. 5. Winners will be announced during the GRIHA Event on 10 December, 2021. 6. It is compulsory to include case study card details which is a summary of your presentation on the last slide 7. The project team must submit group photographs in one of the slides. 8. A one line quote also needs to be submitted. This could be a short message that the team would like to convey to the viewers. 9. Energy management (25% weightage) List key features for energy conservation strategies adopted by the school. Briefly describe measures taken to conserve energy or using energy efficiently. Ensure that the appliances (fans and internal lighting) installed in the building are minimum BEE 3 star rated Demonstrate that . % of the total annual energy consumption (consider grid only) is offset through installation of renewable energy sources on site Demonstrate that atleast 3 Passive design measures have been implemented to reduce energy demand (HVAC/ Electrical/ Lighting) in the school building. Demonstrate that at-least 2 measures have been taken to reduce CO2 emissions from Transportation to-and-fro from school premises. *10% weightage will be given to GRIHA registered projects

Integrated water management (25% weightage) - Briefly describe the water management strategies Demonstrate that the project is storing/ recharging a percentage of the rainwater runoff. Demonstrate that a percentage of the annual water demand of the school is being met by recycled water. 4. Well-being and Social aspects (20% weightage) Demonstrate that the measures are being taken to serve nutritional food in the school premises. Plantation activities within and outside the school premise Demonstrate that measures are being taken to sensitize students about female health and hygiene. Demonstrate that universal accessibility measures have been adopted as per the harmonized guidelines and space standards for a barrier-free built environment for the Persons with Disabilities and elderly persons . Demonstrate that Visual representation of energy and water consumption of the school has been provided in the form of digital displays of meter readings in the common areas (canteen, library, notice boards etc.) of the school. Demonstrate that the housekeeping and pest control products used are ecofriendly. Other strategies for promoting environmental awareness amongst students, staff and neighborhoods. *10% weightage will be given to GRIHA registered projects
