Purple is the color of suffering.
Easter brings the end of Lent.
It is a happy time.

Christians believe that Jesus died.
Then they believe he came to life
again on Easter Day.
Spring is a time of new life.

We can see new plants and new
baby animals in the spring.

Jesus also got a new life at Easter.
The first chocolate egg was made in
France in the 1800s.

But bad kids get no eggs.
