Philosophical and meditative in a fairy-tales Filozofickos a meditat vnos v rozpr vkov ch textoch Gabriela Magalov Pedagogick fakulta Trnavskej univerzity Slovakia
What is it meditative fairy-tale? Is the same as philosophical fairy-tale? Slovak literary science doesn t know this concept and the Czech, the anglo-american or russian theory doesn t prefer it too.
meditative fairy-tale philosophical fairy-tale it is a production of the fabulous genre with an overlap into higher connotations they communicate different message for children and different message for adult readers, but "ideological" was indicated in an explicit sign. it is a production of the fabulous genre with an overlap into higher connotations they communicate different message for children and different message for adult readers (eg. The Little Prince of Exupery) philosophical fairy-tale versus meditative fairy-tale
Meditative fairy-tale the social-ethical dimension is on a various scale of explicitness of its expression connected to religiosity or semantically refers to it; the universe of a fairy-tale principle of the Good is linked to sacral space; their philosophical platform realized in them actually processes the sacrum area, forming opozitum the profanum .
In comparison Slovakia - the Slovak literary space as a space realizing sacral mostly only on the Christian philosophical platform (E. J. Groch, J. Uli iansky, J. Mil k...); Czech environment is typical for opinion variability in the perception of the sacral space (D. Fischerov , I. Proch zkov , L. Uhl ov and others).
Space, time and pilgrimage We tried to reveal the term sacral in fairy-tale texts in the line of the idea postulates of a Romanian religionist M. Eliade: space, time and pilgrimage are constants which have their own clear identification in connection to the term sacral . In sacral time - no past, no future; everything is taking place right now, everything is becoming present. The principle of timelessness or time uncertainty, indefiniteness refers to universal currentness of moral message (as a myth). Sacral space - another atmosphere, little preferred in literature for children: the atmosphere of the balladic, the meditative or the subtlety of expression. Vagrancy, pilgrimage evokes the traditional sense of human existence permanent search but also uncertainty.
Modifications of fairy-tale On the issue about historical view and social contexts of author's tale in Slovak literature, we see string of modifications of the original genre of fairy tales with Christian-didactic tendency and its successive modifications. Meditative tale appears to be next developmental article of this genre. Now is suppressed didaxis in this kind of texts, and the authors are looking for new expressive possibilities to present the potential of spiritual values without clear manual, which was typical for fairy tales with Christian-didactic tendency of the early 20th century.
Meditative fairy-tale and children Meditative fairy-tale helps to grow not only in the plane of aesthetic experience, but also in the area of human maturation. Child may meet with the various dimension of life, ask questions, and formulate answers in this area. This kind of literature and its therapeutic effects may be demonstrated in the work with hyperactive children.
Meditative fairy-tales teaches recipients to receive a set of interpretative planes and accept it with respect to the personality of each individual overfill. Our research has confirmed that the meditative fairy-tale is also communicating with the youngest readers (children from three years old). Meditative fairy-tale and children
