WHAT IS BESU? Hyperledger Besu is an open- source Ethereum client It runs on the Ethereum public network, private networks, and test networks such as Rinkeby, Ropsten, and G rli. Besu implements Proof of Work (Ethash) and Proof of Authority (IBFT 2.0 and Clique) consensus mechanisms. So, your usual Ethereum node...
NEW & EXPLORE WHY DID WE CHOOSE BESU? PRIVACY SOLIDITY RAPID DEVELOPMENT
TOOLING IS IMPORTANT! In the final state of the project, we had used the following Web3Signer, a tool that is capable of signing on multiple platforms using private keys stored in an external vault, or encrypted on a disk. Besu-Kubernetes(k8s) that include Besu private network, choices of consensus algorithms: Pow, Clique, IBFT with privacy enabled Block Explorer Monitoring ( Prometheus and Grafana)
WHAT WERE WE MISSING AT THE TIME Flexible privacy groups Flexible privacy groups use smart contracts to store and maintain the group membership. You can add and remove members to and from flexible privacy groups. This feature got implemented during our development phase.
CONCLUSION Besu and Orion gave us a good development tools, to rapidly develop privacy features with Blockchains. Since then, node- software has extended into Ethereum 2.0 and will be renamed to Quorum
