English SPaG starter When I was reading through your biographies last week, I noticed that many of you were missing out commas to separate the clauses in your sentences. Let s practise! Look at these subordinating conjunctions ... as after since They can be used at the start of a sentence to add a subordinate clause. But, where should the comma go? The Greeks believed that these gods and goddesses controlled everything in their lives and the environment. There was a god for every aspect of their lives. It was important to please the gods; happy gods helped you, but unhappy gods punished you. Was Theseus a God?
Main Activity Theseus and the Minotaur Was Theseus a God? Theseus was not a God. His mother was Aethra, a princess. Some people believe that Theseus father was King Aegeus, but other Ancient Greeks thought that Poseidon (God of the sea) was the father of Theseus.
