Film report U6 Culture reading tasks This week you are going to watch a video about British films (online lesson). Print the worksheet (Films in Britain) before the lesson, if you can. And we look at how to make your own short film. We are looking forward to the results

Lesson 1 Culture (British Cinema) Many of you like Harry Potter, so you can try this Video Quiz https://en.islcollective.com/video-lessons/harry-potter-first-flying- lesson Then read the film vocabulary from U6 Culture (WB p. 85) and write down the words that you do not know. For 5 new words also find an example in the text (TB p. 76): appear objevit se (Sherlock Holmes appeared in 211 films.) Print the worksheet for the online lesson

Lesson 2 Make your own film Texbook page 77 Read and listen to the text (page 77/Exercise 1) https://elt.oup.com/student/project/level2/unit6/audio?cc=cz&selLanguage=cs Exercise 1 Match the headings to the paragraphs Exercise 2 Label the picture with the words Exercise 3 Choose 4 things Is it a good or bad idea? Give your reason why. For example: Number 1 put camera on tripod: I thing it is a good idea, the picture is more stable and does not shake.

What is VE DAY? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-CdpqhxDR8 Watch how people in London celebrated the Victory in Europe on 8th May in 1945 which meant the end of the World War II in Europe and defeat of Nazi Germany. In Britain, Churchill marked the occasion by declaring this day a Public Holiday. People held local street parties, danced and sang in the streets and huge crowds gathered in London around Westminster, Trafalgar Square and outside Buckingham Palace.
