  2. Meaning of Book Review A description or analysis of a book A critical or evaluative account of a book Thus, A book review is a form of literary criticism in which a book is merely described (summary review) or analysed based on content and style.

Characteristics of a Good Textbook Intrinsic Qualities Should be written in Clear and Simple Language Should be well illustrated Should be as per the curriculum and maximum aspect of the syllabus should be covered Psychologically planned Should have questions for discussion at the end of the chapter Free from Biasness Examples from the real-life scenario should be quoted Heading should be in bold or underlined to create a better impact Summary and References to be included at the end of every chapter

Characteristics of a Good Textbook Extrinsic Qualities Reasonably Priced and Within the Reach of Common People Good Printing Colourful and attractive, if possible Details of the publisher, author , reviewer to be clearly mentioned Should be light weight and not too thick Cover page to be made attractive
