  2. What is the Consolidated Application (ConApp)? The application is used by California Department of Education (CDE) to distribute funds from federal programs. The Consolidated Application reports serve as a way to monitor the use of federal funds and compliance with State regulations.

  3. Current Funding Sources applied for and reported in the Con App Title I Part A Title II Part A Title III Limit English Proficient (LEP)

  4. Why is there a Federal Funding Resource?: Student Support & Academic Enrichment Grant Title IV Part A Evidence shows that students need access to: Health & safety programs A diversity of academic programs Modern technology

  5. Uses for the Student Support & Academic Enrichment Grant Title IV Part A 1. Provide students with a well rounded education including programs such as college & career counseling, STEM; arts, civics and International Baccalaureate/Advanced Placement

  6. Uses for the Student Support & Academic Enrichment Grant Title IV Part A 2. Supporting safe and healthy students with school mental health programs, drug and violence prevention, training on trauma-informed practices, and health and physical education.

  7. Uses for the Student Support & Academic Enrichment Grant Title IV Part A 3. Supporting the effective use of technology that is backed by professional development, blended learning and ed tech devices.

  8. How Title IV Part A Must be Used Safe & Healthy School Activities: at least 20% Well-Rounded Education Programs: at least 20% The remaining 60% can be spent on any of the above activities, including technology (There is a 15% cap on spending for devices, equipment, software and digital content)

  9. Will We Receive Title IV Part A Funding Each Year? All federal education funding depends on the federal budget. The federal administration and lawmakers determine levels of funding and can change funding from year to year. Concerns about changes to federal education funding can be brought to representatives in Congress

  10. Title IV Part A Application Timeline DELAC Meeting January 25: Collect comments about Title IV funding LCAP Advisory Committee Meetings: Begin including Title IV Plan in LCAP Board Meeting: Obtain approval of application for Consolidated Application due February 28, 2018
