LeadWorthy philosophy teaches students personal responsibility, decision-making skills, and professional expression.

Capturing Kids Hearts is a nationally recognized process that tends to the social and emotional needs of students and educators through implementation of basic principles: Common language & practices Common behaviors Relationship building
If a child has an appropriate relationship with a mature, responsible adult at home or at school, it is protective against virtually every risk factor including school absenteeism, intentional personal injury, violence, and poor academic performance. (Resnick, et al, 1997, JAMA; CDC, Resnick duplicated study 2009)
Systemic transformation takes leadership, mentorship, accountability, and commitment. Leadership must model desired behaviors and hold their teams accountable for living out CKH behaviors & practices
All educators will be trained in specific socio- emotional learning techniques & classroom facilitation tools to Peak student interest Establish collaborative agreements of behavior Create high performing groups Increase pro-social skills Create more time on task Increase student performance
Mentors, or Process Champions, will be trained to support and encourage their teammates in CKH principles Every faculty member must be committed to utilizing CKH principles until they are embedded in everything we do It will become Who We Are!
When students discover their self-worth and approach life prepared to achieve, the opportunities are endless. This is the philosophy behind LeadWorthy. The course teaches students to take personal responsibility, make good decisions when problems arise, and to express themselves professionally.
