Why should charities care about diversity? Having a diverse group of people on boards, in terms of background and experience, but also in outlook and personality, supports the effective governance of charities. That s because having different perspectives, skills and experiences helps charities to anticipate and challenge risks, effectively consider new opportunities, and tackle the difficult but necessary decisions.
