  1. No Ordinary Kingdom Matthew 5:43-48; Leviticus 19:17-18

  2. You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. For He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. HCSB Matthew 5:43 45

  3. You must not harbor hatred against your brother. Rebuke your neighbor directly, and you will not incur guilt because of him. Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yahweh. HCSB Leviticus 19:17 18

  4. You know me, I know you, you are My friend, if you do as I command (John 15:14)

  5. you will remain in Me, and I in you, if you produce much fruit and prove to be My disciples (John 15:7)

  6. To love an enemy is to be extraordinary and to be part of no ordinary Kingdom.

  7. For if you love those who love you, what reward will you have? Don t even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing out of the ordinary? Don t even the Gentiles do the same? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. HCSB Matthew 5:46 48

  8. To live as part of the Kingdom of God, one is expected to be perfect, not ordinary.

  9. Perfect (teleios) means to be fit, mature, fully grown. a process of moral character becoming holy as God is holy (Lev. 19:2) Sanctification It is our present status (Eph. 4:11-12), but also our standing in Christ (Heb 10:14) and future hope and glory and Jesus return and our resurrection (Phil. 3:10-12)

  10. Three Stages of Perfection 1. Saving Perfection - Christ s death guarantees forever the perfection or redemption of those being set apart for God.

  11. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified. Hebrews 10:14 HCSB

  12. 2. Maturing Perfection - Sanctification, the perfecting of the saints (Eph. 4:12; 1 Jn. 4:17- 18)

  13. Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2 4 HCSB

  14. 3. Resurrection Perfection - The believers purpose and aim is to achieve resurrection from the dead and unto perfection.

  15. My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead. HCSB Philippians 3:10 11

  16. Is my goal to follow Jesus and be conformed to Him in His death? One kills death by love Jesus love.

  17. Embracing Jesus command to love leads to our perfection.

  18. When we embrace and pursue Jesus command to love without boarders, we are becoming perfect and becoming mastered by His Kingdom story.

  19. Becoming perfect involves mastering the Kingdom Story, and being mastered by the Kingdom Story.

  20. To be mastered by Gods love is to become mastered by the Kingdom Gospel.

  21. There is no reward for being ordinary. There is no participant ribbon for showing up. For if you love those who love you, what reward will you have?...tax collectors do the same. -Mt. 5:46

  22. Am I mastered by the Kingdom Story? Have I mastered the Kingdom Story?

  23. So what is it to be ordinary?

  24. Stopping to help someone change a flat tire? Buy a new tire to replace the flat tire Donating money to provide food for those who have none? Buy the grocieries, deliever and do the cooking.

  25. Giving out of your extra, your abundance? Give out of your need. Buy the coffee of the one behind you in the drive-thru? Buy all the coffee s of those going through the drive-thru

  26. Support the people going overseas, or at home, to share the Kingdom of God? Be the one to serve overseas, or at home, sharing the Kingdom of God. Serve out of your passion, talents and gifting? Serve regardless of your passion, talents and gifting; do what needs to be done.

  27. Love your brother and enemy even when he or she is unlovable.

  28. Jesus Kingdom is no ordinary Kingdom. It is perfect in love and established by love, through the perfecting of His saints. Love extra-ordinarily!
