Cikowicko-Ronowski Landscape Park, established in 1995, is a stunning natural reserve in the Małopolska province. Spanning 24,130 hectares, the park showcases diverse geological formations, rare flora, and a variety of wildlife. The park is home to unique rock outcrops, sandstones, and a Petrified City Reserve. Visitors can spot protected bird species like the Black Stork and Black Woodpecker, reptiles including the Grass Snake and Adder, as well as mammals like the European Beaver and Dormouse. With over 900 species of vascular plants and a rich forest ecosystem, this park offers a tranquil escape rich in biodiversity.

  1. CIKOWICKO - RONOWSKI LANDSCAPE PARK

  2. Cikowicko-Ronowski Landscape Park was set up in 1995. It is situated in the south-eastern part of Ma opolska province. It covers the area of 24 130 ha

  3. In the Park there are many outcrops and outcrops of rock that allow observation of layers of different geological periods. In the reserve occur formed sandstones. They originally deposited as a loose material in the basin during the Tertiary. This material is due to diagenesis transformation into a rock concise.

  5. Fauna in Cikowicko-Ronowski Landscape Park By the diversity of habitat conditions that pervail in the Park stands out the richness and diversity of species. A large part of them is under strict species protection. We can mention here:

  6. Birds: Black Stork - Black Woodpecker - Black Stork - Ural Tawny Owl - Sparrow Hawk - White-backed Woodpecker White-backed Woodpecker Black Woodpecker

  7. Reptiles - Grass Snake - Adder - Sand Lizard - Viviparaus Lizard - Skydiver Viviparaus Lizard Adder Skydiver

  8. Amphibians - Newt - Great Crested Newt - Yellow-bellied Toad - Salamander - Toads - And other species of frogs Salamander Yellow-bellied Toad Great Crested Newt

  9. Mammals - Dewberry - Dormouse - Water Shrew - European Beaver - Numerous species of bats European Beaver Dormouse Dewberry

  10. Featuring a great landscape, the park abounds with the original geological features and unspoiled forest environments. Flora contains about 900 species of vascular plants. The most valuable component of the vegetation are forest ecosystem with a high degree of naturalness. There are 40 species of protected plants. It indicates a high value nature of the park. Dominant species of trees are: beech, fir, pine and oak.
