Dr. Pant is the Director of Interdisciplinary Environmental Science Program at Lehman College, CUNY, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Biology from Dalhousie University in 1998. His research focuses on biogeochemical cycles, soil/water quality, ecological indicators, carbon sequestration, and global change. Dr. Pant has conducted various studies on phosphorus, nitrogen, and organic compounds in river bed sediments, wetlands, and marshes. He has presented his findings at national and international conferences, emphasizing the impact of climate change on phosphorus stability and water issues.
