What the statutory guidance says…
•
Schools should ask all teachers to support the career development of young
people in their tutorial role and through their subject teaching.
•
Schools should work towards weaving careers education and guidance in to
subjects across the curriculum, including PSHE.
•
Schools should ensure that, as early as possible, pupils understand that
good maths skills are a necessary element of citizenship, and that studying
maths and science can lead to a wide range of career choices.

Employer Encounters and Experience of Workplaces What the statutory guidance says Students should have multiple opportunities to learn from employers about work.
