In todays lesson we will learn nine things that must be true of every mission-minded Christian. Note, are there any areas of your existence that fall short of the existence modeled in God s word?
1. Preached Act 14:21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Key Point #1 We exist to deliver a message to those who need it
2. Taught Act 14:21 and had taught many - This was the pulpit ministry for thebelievers. - Doctrine is important - - - what we teach is crucial because it gives strength to the young believer and informs our ministry perspectives.
Key Point #2 We exist to be refreshed & renewed within the congregation.
3. Confirmed Act 14:21 Confirming the souls of the disciples, - - The word confirm means to prop up or provide structure. This is where doctrine is established as alifestyle.
Key Point #3 We exist to teach biblical concepts fit for faithful practice.
4. Exhorted [and] exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. - Exhortation refers to coming alongside someone and encouraging them in the truth.
Key Point #4 We exist to stabilize the weak, incite their faith and prepare them for trial.
5. Ordained 23 And when they had ordained them elders - Are we working to establish ministers that can take our place or fulfill a leadership calling?
Key Point #5 We exist to commission leaders to fulfill the call.
6. Prayed 7. & Fasted and had prayed with fasting Act 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid [their] hands on them, they sent [them] away.

Key Point #6/7 We exist to exist to commune with God and beckon his grace.
8. Commended they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed. - They knew that they had to turn over the work of their labor to the oversight of the Lord and those who were called to the work. Having trouble with this, pray like Jesus (John17:6-19) -
Key Point #8 We exist to exist to entrust our spiritual children to the oversight of God.
9. Rehearsed 24 And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia. 25 And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia: 26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled. 27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles. 28 And there they abode long time with the disciples. - Rehearsed is to givetestimony.
Key Point #9 We exist to report of all God has accomplished.
