Modern supply chains are often very complex, spanning multiple countries and involving many steps. SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT is the management of the flow of goods and services and includes all processes that transform raw materials into final products. It involves the active streamlining of a business's supply-side activities to maximize customer value and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. LOGISTICS LOGISTICS refers to the overall process of managing how resources are acquired, stored, and transported to their destination. LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT is the process of strategically managing the procurement, movement and storage of materials, parts and finished inventory (and the related information flows) through the organization and its marketing channels in such as way that current and future profitability are maximized through the cost-effective fulfillment of orders. distributors and suppliers and determining their effectiveness and accessibility. Logistics managers are referred to as logisticians. TRANSPORTATION TRANSPORTATION, as it relates to supply chain management, is the movement of goods and persons from place to place and the various means by which such movement is accomplished.
