  7. Writing a script: Think: about your audience Condense: your thoughts Simplify: your writing Use rhetorical devices: questions, anecdotes, proverbs, quotes. Write: conversationally Cadence: think about how your text reads Summer Course 2021 Education City Qatar

  8. Adding visuals to your script Ok. You have written your script. But you cannot have a someone talking to you for 5 mins! You need visuals to cover your voice: slides, captions, photos.   9. STEP 2 Presenting Composing your shot Basic presenting concepts Recording your presentation using autocue/looking at computer text Downloading your presentation ready for edit

  11. Presentation skills How to frame your shot - composition, light, sound How to present to camera - eyeline and gestures How to think about your voice: it s cadence, the emphasis, the inflections, the speed, the volume, the clarity.

  12. Assignment: Write your script for a max 2 minute piece and then record your presentation. You can choose ONE from the following: An introduction to a course An introduction to a concept A housekeeping lecture An introduction to yourself and your work *Make sure you use a google doc as shown in class.
