The Bandey-Hefler Fellowship Exchange is a 12-day Rotary friendship exchange program between Rotary families in USA District 7910 and UK Districts 1110 & 1145. Participants host couples from the other country, share experiences, and create lasting friendships across the Atlantic. Hosting responsibilities include providing accommodation, coordinating activities, and participating in events. First-time hosts may be eligible for an all-expense-paid trip to the UK in the following year.

What is the Bandey-Hefler Exchange? A 12-day Rotary friendship exchange between Rotary families of USA District 7910 and UK Districts 1110 & 1145 20 UK couples will travel to the US in the fall of 2018 (Sept 26-Oct 8) Each UK couple will be hosted by three US hosts In 2019, 20 US couples will travel to the UK TITLE | 2
Why should you participate For those who have participated, it is international Rotary in action at its very best. Form ever-lasting friendships across the Atlantic and with other Rotarians in District 7910 Share your favorite places and your club Trade family and Rotary stories You ll have the rare opportunity to see England in a unique and wonderful Rotary way TITLE | 3
What you need to do Be a gracious host for a UK couple for 4 days and nights Coordinate with two other hosts and the UK couple to give them a wide spectrum of experiences that they ll remember forever Pay for all of their food and entertainment expenses (you can graciously accept one meal if they insist) Participate in the Welcome and Farewell dinners and attend a special District event TITLE | 4
A full-time commitment for 4 days To become a host is a truly rewarding experience, but also one that requires a commitment of time and money for four days Both you and your spouse/partner are expected to devote their full time with the guests Try and forget about work and give yourselves a chance to really get to know one another Our visitors want to become acquainted with our American Way of Life and to make new and lasting friendships TITLE | 5
Who gets to go to UK in 2019? First-time hosts who have never traveled to the UK before on a Bandey-Hefler Exchange get first priority Both you and your spouse/partner will become eligible for an all-expense-paid 12-day trip to England in 2019 (excl. airfare) Most of us Bandey-Hefler veterans continue to host because we love the friendships and wonderful experiences that we shared TITLE | 6
