Assessing Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Impact on Customer Satisfaction: A GCC Student Case Study
This research project aims to evaluate the influence of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) on customer satisfaction, specifically focusing on GCC students using a book rental system on a mobile platform. The study addresses the lack of research on students' preferences for obtaining textbooks and their acceptance of technology for selling or renting used textbooks. The project is ongoing and involves testing a new e-book rental system based on TAM principles. The methodology includes utilizing a deductive approach and data sources such as questionnaires, books, journals, and prior theses. The target population is all students in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Assessing effect of technology Acceptance model (TAM) on customer satisfaction The case of GCC students using book rental system on a mobile platform Management Information System Hawra Adel Moh d
Beginning Other participants in this ongoing project : Hussain Al-shaikh The motivation behind this research. Why? My objective of this presentation. Hawra Adel Moh d
Introduction There is no such researches that provide accurate measurements of: The type of textbooks students prefer to obtain Their acceptance of using technology to sell or rent their used textbooks. The case that can be observed all around the world is that many and many book rental information systems are developed. However, this is not the case in GCC countries, which creates a necessary need to build & implement one for the students in the kingdom of Bahrain. Hawra Adel Moh d
Why this research? For this reason, and since our project began in parallel with the project of our colleagues in specialization (Marwa, Ahmed, Mohammed & Qasim), which aims to design & implement an information system to sell and rent the used textbooks by students, it was appropriate to test it before it comes into use. Hawra Adel Moh d
A clarification It s important to mention that our research is still in progress, because it is based: On previous studies in quoting the concept model. On current real measurements that require time and effort. Working in parallel with the progress of the other team. Hawra Adel Moh d
Research Aim and Objectives The aim of our research is to therefore assess the role of TAM s perceived ease of use, attitude of usability, perceived usefulness satisfaction of the e-book rental system. on end-users Our objectives can be summarized in: Testing the Book Rental System through the use of the basic Technology Acceptance Model (TAM 1). Submitting real results of end-users acceptance of the new- designed system. Hawra Adel Moh d
Research Methodology Our research methodology was based on a deductive approach, which is a process of reasoning from one or more statements to reach a logically certain conclusion. 2 sources of data were used: The preliminary data: use of a questionnaire to test the hypotheses. The secondary data: books, journals and previous theses. Our target population was: all students in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Sample size = 200. Confirmatory Factor analysis using SPSS software package for hypotheses testing. Hawra Adel Moh d

Technology Acceptance model (TAM 1) To measure the level of user acceptance and satisfaction with this system, me and my colleague Hussain Al-shaikh decided to use the basic technology acceptance model (TAM 1) to identify the end-users satisfaction with the book rental system from four important aspects: 1. Perceived usefulness: which refers to the extent of the user s belief that the new technology will help to improve the efficiency and performance. 2. Perceived ease of use: which refers to the extent to which the user is comfortable in using the features of the new technology. 3. Attitude toward using: which refers to the behavior. 4. End-users satisfaction: which refers to the level of acceptance. Hawra Adel Moh d
Hypotheses The proposed perceived usefulness and the perceived ease of use have a positive and significant effect on end-users attitude toward using the Book Rental system on a mobile platform. A number of past studies are supporting our view, some of them have tested this relationship before on teachers, physicians, and they have been able to receive a positive and significant results on the end-users satisfaction. Expected results Book rental system launched as a mobile app for GCC students as this is useful and effective on their attitude toward the use. Students are satisfied with the book rental system in Bahrain and GCC countries. Your name
Conclusion In conclusion, I can say that the value of each information system or application lies in the degree of acceptance by its users, which is unpredictable unless the application is tested on the reality, and by measuring the satisfaction of real users, to notice the imbalances, and how to develop the system so that it will not be deleted or garbaged after a temporary period. This book rental system is a real information system interface that can radically change the way used textbooks are sold and rented in the future. Your name
