Lancashire County Council has amended a road closure order affecting Poulton Street, Kirkham, from April 2nd to April 5th, 2024. The closure will prohibit traffic on specified roads for necessary works. Access will be maintained where possible, and alternative routes are provided.   1. Project Name Kirkham Public Realm Kirkham Public Realm Notice to residents/businesses April 2024 Advanced Warning of Road Closure Poulton Street, Kirkham Dear Resident / Occupier. Please be advised that Lancashire County Council have amended the current road closure order in Kirkham (B5192 POULTON STREET, PRESTON STREET, CHURCH STREET AND FRECKLETON STREET, KIRKHAM, FYLDE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023), the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order from 0700 hours on Tuesday 2nd 2024 until 1700 hours on Friday 5th April 2024. 1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of highway in the borough of Fylde: i. B5192 Poulton Street, Kirkham from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Clegg Street. ii. Preston Street, Kirkham from its junction with Church Street for a distance of 45 metres in an easterly direction. iii. Kirkgate, Kirkham from its junction with B5192 Poulton Street for a distance of 12 metres in a southerly direction. iv. Church Street, Kirkham from its junction with B5192 Poulton Street for a distance of 61 metres in a northerly direction. v. Freckleton Street, Kirkham from its junction with B5192 Poulton Street for a distance of 38 metres in a southerly direction. 2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works. Businesses will remain open throughout the works Page 1

Project Name Kirkham Public Realm Kirkham Public Realm Notice to residents/businesses April 2024 The prohibition will be operative from 0700 hours on Tuesday 2nd April 2024 until 1800 hours on Friday 5th April 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. The prohibitions will only be operative when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. Project Name Kirkham Public Realm Kirkham Public Realm Notice to residents/businesses January 2024 Church Street and Birley Street Access Two way temporary traffic lights will be in place on Church Street to accommodate access to the Church, School and residents. Access to Church Street should be from Preston Street via the two-way lights which will be in place. There will be no through route along Poulton Street from Freckleton Street and Preston Street. Traffic approaching from this direction expecting to get onto Poulton Street will be turned away. Access to Church Street will not be available from the West with no through route along Poulton Street. Access to Birley Street and Kirkgate should be from the West of Poulton Street. Poulton Street (Mill Street/Town End to Kirkgate) Access to Poulton Street from Mill Street/Town End up to the Junction with Kirkgate will be available throughout for deliveries and for parking and access to businesses in this area. The contractor's details are included at the end of this letter for any individual queries that businesses or resident might have about access. This will be via controlled access. Page 1

If your business will require deliveries during this period please contact Dave Bagley on the contact details shown at the end of this letter to discuss arrangements. Bus User information Bus users are advised to check changes to timetables and diversion routes prior to travel. Information is also available at www.kirkhamfutures.org You can contact Stagecoach Travel on 0345 241 8000 between 8:00 and 18:00 from Monday to Friday and between 09:00 and 17:00 Saturday and Sunday. Access to Car Parking Access to Mill Street Car Park, Kirkham Community Centre Car Park and Morrisons will remain available throughout the works and all car parks remain open. Access to the car park at the rear of Kirkgate will be via the signed diversions in place. Businesses will remain open throughout the works Page 1
