  10. Jordan Dough Role-Play Jordan Dough is an E-5, single and financially sound. 1) Received PCS orders 2) Will be promoted to E-6 in 2 months 3) Getting married in 1 month Received Touchpoint email and has made appointment with CFS SM 6-10

  11. Counseling Role-Play Instructions Class will be broken into groups to counsel Dough on a specific Touchpoint. (PCS, Promotion, Leadership and Marriage) Counsel Dough using the appropriate Touchpoint checklist and any other resources. CFS will meet with Dough as if this was an actual counseling session.

  12. Counseling Role-Play Instructions One person in the group will be the Command Financial Specialist. The rest of the group will act as advisors and observe the counseling. Advisors will not comment during counseling. Advisors are encouraged to take notes.

  14. Counseling Role-Play Instructions If advisors have suggestions/comments call freeze. CFS can also call freeze. Dough may leave or stay if necessary. Group can discuss suggestions/comments. When ready to start again, if necessary, recall Dough, call unfreeze" and resume session.

  15. Counseling Role-Play Instructions At any point the group can designate another to be the CFS Do not restart session from the beginning Everyone in group needs to be the CFS Equal participation

  16. Counseling Role-Play Instructions Once the counseling session is over, the class will discuss ways in which the CFS and the advisors applied financial counseling and communication techniques.

  17. Review: Jordan Dough Role-Play CFS What support was provided? What referrals were provided? Client What counseling techniques were effective? What improvements could be made?
