NBCDI Being Black is not a Risk Factor The focus of the publication A Strength-Based Look at Black Children It challenged the prevailing discourse about Black children (Their limits and deficits) reported from most studies The report was targeted at policymakers, advocates, school administrators, teachers and parents The nation needs to take a fresh look at Black children
