  1. A-Level Mathematics: 100% Core content 66.6% Pure Mathematics 16.6% Statistics 16.6% Mechanics

  2. A Level Further Mathematics 50% Core (all pure mathematics) 50% optional and can include Pure Mathematics Mechanics Statistics Decision mathematic

  3. AS Level Further Mathematics 20% core (all pure mathematics) 10% compulsory (selected from A Level core) 70% optional (same options as A Level)

  4. Content: The universities have requested qualifications that place emphasis on correct notation and thorough proof Pre-release data sets Calculator (Casio 991-EX) that can Compute summary statistics Compute iterative formulae Calculate with 3 x 3 matrices YOU MUST BUY IT. SEE NEXT SLIDE

  5. Further Maths Module Choices: Compulsory: Core Pure 1 and Core Pure 2 Optional: Decision 1 and Further Pure 1 The optional modules are exactly that. If the cohort of pupils agree that other modules are more suitable then a discussion can be had.

This will give you an opportunity to develop key skills that you have already used. With the limited time that we have to teach new content it is pivotal that this knowledge is already developed fully.

I don t know how long this will be for, but if you wanted to get a better idea of the content that you will be teaching I would take a look. For Normal Maths you want the Pure and Stats/Mechs books. For Further Maths you want to Core pure , D1 and FP1 books. Feel free to look at any and all of them!
