  2. 10thMEETING OF THE IHO INTER-REGIONAL COORDINATING COMMITTEE IHO-IRCC 10 Goa, India 4-6 June 2018 ROPME Sea Area Hydrographic Commission (RSAHC) The ROPME Sea Area Hydrographic Commission (RSAHC) was established in 2000 in Tehran, Iran during a meeting attended by delegates from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, UAE, and IR Iran as Member States, Pakistan, United Kingdom, Canada, Yemen, MENAS, and IHO representatives as observers. This commission was established in order to promote safety navigation through technical and training cooperation, mutual studies and research on hydrography and cartography, preparing, publishing and updating navigational charts at the regional level.

Current RSAHC Working Groups: RSA INT Chart Coordination working Group (RSAICCWG), Coordinator IR of Iran, Last meeting was held at Muscat, Oman during 7th RSAHC meeting on 21 February 2017

  5. 10thMEETING OF THE IHO INTER-REGIONAL COORDINATING COMMITTEE IHO-IRCC 10 Goa, India 4-6 June 2018 Capacity Building Up to the 7thmeeting UK shouldered the coordination of RSAHC Capacity-Building (CB) activity through the CB Coordinator and has developed a new 3-year CB Plan for 2018-2020. Since 7thmeeting The Regional CB Coordinator stood down at the end of 7thmeeting of RSAHC, however, none of the member states has accepted to replace him yet.

  6. 10thMEETING OF THE IHO INTER-REGIONAL COORDINATING COMMITTEE IHO-IRCC 10 Goa, India 4-6 June 2018 INT Charts Released by RSAHC Member States (Updated June 2017) During the RSAHC7, Member States were reminded to: - review their C-55 and IHO Yearbook (P-5) entries annually; - to submit information in non-meeting years; - promote login for the INToGIS services, required to manage the national information contained in the database; - obtain their ID and passwords, and to start revising their schemes using the INT GIS Service to allow the Regional Coordinator to approve the amendments and generate an updated version of the regional scheme; and - timely vote on related matters as circulated through IHO Circular Letters.   8. 10thMEETING OF THE IHO INTER-REGIONAL COORDINATING COMMITTEE IHO-IRCC 10 Goa, India 4-6 June 2018 Recommendations Considering the significant differences of measures taken by regional hydrographic commissions, and in order to promote such measures in line with IHO goals, especially in regard with CB and data gathering and managing, and to achieve a uniform and effective system in this respect, it is proposed that a WG be established under the supervision and management of IRCC, so that the technical and even diplomatic shortcoming existing in different regions can be identified, explained and resolved through appropriate solutions for MS and the mentioned objective can be realized successfully throughout the word. This can be conducted through establishing audition teams over the performance of the regional commissions.

  9. 10thMEETING OF THE IHO INTER-REGIONAL COORDINATING COMMITTEE IHO-IRCC 10 Goa, India 4-6 June 2018 Recommendations - The INT Chart web catalog (S11-Part B) needs to become more user-friendly, in order to facilitate access to different pages and modules for the users; - As the latest version of the web catalog was released in 2017, it is necessary that Member States provide their information to the Regional Coordinator, so that catalog can be updated for the region. However, only Pakistan and Oman have provided their information so far, and it is required that other countries establish a higher level of cooperation with the coordinator about information sharing, etc. - Considering the communication and coordination problems existing within this region, and the appointment of the CB Coordinator in the very near future, it is requested that the IRCC kindly assist and cooperate with the RSAHC in regard with implementing the 3-year CB plan .
