  2. WHAT IS THE WORLD WATER CRISIS? Water crisis is the lack of fresh water resources to meet the standard water demand. There are two types of water crisis: physical water crisis and economic water crisis. Globally, 2 billion people (26% of the population) do not have safe drinking water and 3.6 billion (46%) lack access to safely managed sanitation, due to lack of healthy and clean environment. Water crisis is the #5 global risk in terms of impact to society.

  3. CONSEQUENCES FOR WATER CRISIS Things we need like cars, foods and clothing could be limited of freshwater resources. When waters run dry, people can't get enough to drink, wash, or feed crops, and starving to death may occur. In addition, a problem for 2.4 billion people can lead to deadly diarrheal diseases, including cholera and typhoid fever, and other water-borne illnesses.

  4. SOLUTIONS FOR WATER CRISIS The other way to counter water scarcity in Jordan is by recycling and reuse of municipal wastewater which is an attractive method in terms of water savings. In fact, the reuse of the treated wastewater in Jordan has reached one of the highest levels in the world. Purification can provide a safe drinking water to areas facing severe water scarcity.
