The Turnaround School Supplemental Services Allocation (TSSSA) program for 2020-2021 aims to support six eligible schools in Escambia County with funding for implementing district-managed turnaround plans. Schools must meet specific eligibility criteria to qualify for the allocation. The program timeline involves developing school plans by June, submitting them for approval, and creating a district plan for sustainability. Funding is based on per-student allocations. Services provided under TSSSA include after-school programs, counseling, and academic support to foster student success. Districts can collaborate with nonprofits to offer integrated support services like health programs and college readiness initiatives.
