  3. Water is our Passion Water is our Passion The Ministerial Directive regarding Giyani Water Supply Project dated 21 December 2018 received and acknowledged. Lepelle Northern Water already started and will continue to meet the expectations and adhere to conditions as stipulated in the Directive in Servicing the Community of Giyani. Water is our Passion

Kick Start meeting DWS and LNW 08 January 2019 Done Budget recon and requirement to be confirmed Community based project oversight committee is established. The committee is made of representatives from religious community, traditional leadership, Giyani Water Forum, Giyani Business Forum, Councilors and officials from sector departments and state entities. Meeting was held with community structures DWS 05 January 2019 Done Launching of community based projects oversight committee LNW and LIMP PH 8 March 2019 TORs Adopted Minister to officiate the launching on the 1 February 2019 Project Business Plan LNW 16 January 2019 Done Department confirmed project budget and scope. Detailed business plan to be submitted by the Department to Lepelle Northern Water Water is our Passion

Water is our Passion Water is our Passion A multi-governmental task team, led by the Executive Mayor of Mopani District Municipality; has been established to consider ways of supporting the family of the six-year old Nsuku Mhlongo who died in Giyani Government regrets the incident and offered its deepest condolences to the Mhlongo family on the untimely passing of their young one. Government representatives who visited the family also committed themselves, not to only assist the family with funeral arrangements but to also lend a helping hand should the family decide to take legal action against service providers.
