  9. I have celebrated three different festivals. . May day. I have celebrated many international festivals . Among them may day is one of them. last month I celebrated an international festivals and that was May day. It was on May 1st . It was in my school campus at Rahima begum Academy. The festivals was celebrated by organizing a discussion. I and some of my classmate attend the function. A participant said in his speech that a May Day or International Workers Day is observed on May 1 all over the world. The day is observed to remember the struggle and historical sacrifice of the working people. It is a public holiday in almost all the countries of the world. The historical event of the day is related to a tragic incident in America s Chicago city. On May 1 s in 1886 half of the workers at the McCormick Harvester Company in Chicago went on strike demanding an eight-hour workday.

  10. Two days later, a workers rally was held near the McCormick Harvester Company and many workers had joined it. Suddenly about 200 policemen attacked them with clubs and revolvers. One striker was killed instantly, five or six others were seriously wounded and many of them were badly injured. The events of May 1, 1886, remind us that workers are also human beings and they have also family life. The spirit of the day is to provide working people with better working conditions and better pay so that they can live happily.

  11. I have celebrated a national festivals. I have celebrated many national festivals . Among them pahela baishak is one of them. last month I celebrated an national festivals and that was pahela baishak. It was on 1st day of bangla month of Baishak . It was in my own locality at Allardarga. I and some of my close friends celebrate the day very much. I never forget the day. The first day of Bangla year is celebrated as Pahela Boishakh. The day is celebrated with festivity across the country. It is celebrated in villages and towns. People in the village celebrate this day according to their age-old customs. Special meals are arranged at home. Baisakhi melas are held in different places. In towns, various socio- cultural organizations arrange interesting programs on this day. At Ramna Batamul, it is celebrated gorgeously. Many urban people wake up early in the morning and go to the function to enjoy poem reciting, songs, stage drama, lecture, etc.

  12. Many people eat panta hilisa in the morning. Children put on colorful dresses. They go to the Boishakhi Mela and buy sweets, toys, dolls, and handmade things. They enjoy the day with great pleasure. Shopkeepers in: both villages and towns open Halkhata. They distribute sweets among their customers and clients. I live in Dhaka. On this day, I usually go to the Ramna Batamul in the morning. I wear pajama and Panjabi. I eat panta hilisa and join different functions. The significance of the day is great. We can remember our Bengali culture and tradition by celebrating the day.

As per the Hijri Calendar of Islam religion, Eid-Al-Fitr is observed when the new moon is sighted by the Mosque authorities. It falls in the lunar Hijri month.
