Areas of Distinction (AoDs) at RowanSOM are specialized curricular components that enhance a student's education and competence in various disciplines. These areas of interest do not appear on transcripts but are recognized in residency applications. Students must demonstrate dedication by completing community service, scholarly work, and didactics as specified by each AoD. By participating in AoDs, students benefit from increased education, mentorship, and a competitive edge for residency applications. Specific requirements for individual AoDs are listed on the Canvas Blackboard page under Areas of Distinction.
