  1. ImProvan Ourselves Every Day

  2. OC Return to Learn In Person 2020-2021 Purpose The purpose of this presentation is to give guidance on what return to in person learning will look like at the Provan Opportunity Center.

  3. Arrival Doors open for students at 8:40 Search protocol will be in place with additional PPE along with temp check for all students Students will get breakfast and report to class As students arrive, they will be reminded of physical distancing requirements. Marked spots on ground for visual guidance Students will order breakfast and lunch as part of the arrival process prior to entering the building for searches The nurse will oversee the arrival routine and be able to step out if the need arises

  4. Breakfast Students will pick up breakfast in the hallway and proceed to their classroom Breakfast is served from 8:45-9:15 Social distancing decals are placed around the building and are available for classroom use Staff will be in class with students during breakfast as well as the SEL class/1st period to monitor social distance and safety Students will be seated in their classrooms for breakfast

  5. Common Areas Lunch Student s lunches will be served in their assigned classrooms Seating assigned by teacher Library-NA due to no on-campus library Labs- Computer labs will not be utilized due to students having access to personal device

  6. Restrooms -water fountain Students will be escorted one at a time to restroom Nurse will provide disposable cups and we will monitor fountain use.

  7. Transition Movement will be reduced to individual escorts. Floor decals will serve as reminders for students to maintain social distance We will not utilyze passing periods during this time

  8. Classroom setups Classrooms are arranged to promote social distancing, spacing desks 6 feet apart Teachers are provided with classroom COVID-19 kit

  9. Physical Distancing Floor decals placed six feet apart Signage on the walls to remind students of distancing expectations, face covering expectations, hygiene and disinfection.

  10. Cleaning and disinfecting Students will use provided wipes to clean workstations between each use Staff will disinfect commonly used areas/items

  11. Hygiene and etiquette Students will be provided access to wash hands or sanitize before breakfast and lunch Students will have access to soap/water or sanitizer at restroom/water breaks Students required to wear masks except when eating or drinking. Students will be responsible for securing their mask in a paper bag while eating. Staff will provide mask reminders to students throughout the day

  12. Procedure for possible infected student If a student presents or admits symptoms, nurse will be contacted and student isolated in classroom near nurses station. (C102) C102 is designated isolation room Monitored by nurse

  13. Dismissal Students are dismissed one class at a time via PA announcement. They will be monitored by teacher and staff in hall to ensure physical distancing in exiting the building. Students who ride the bus will be required to get on the bus immediately. Students will retrieve their personal items and jackets if need be. Bus and car riders will have separate waiting areas with ground markings to encourage distancing.

  14. Visitors All allowed visitors will be required to complete the screening process and temp check. Allowed visitors: district personnel, law enforcement and child protective services.

  15. COP Level I & II Procedures for both levels are the same.

  16. Communication Expectations will be communicated during intake process and reinforced daily by staff members and class routines/procedures In the event changes need to be communicated, parents/students would get phone calls, emails and/or letters home.
