Summary of feeding trials On farm trials Four feeding trials in poultry (3 in broiler and 1 in layer)- using fine fraction One in feedlot cattle using coarse fraction Findings Using graded levels ranging from 5 to 12.5% of diet revealed that up to 10% inclusion levels of fine fraction performance is acceptable For commercial production inclusion at 5% of diet or replacement of maize by 10% was found to be good. Production response in broilers was better than layers Coarse fraction of peels can substitute for traditional feed resources in feedlot cattle
