  1. What are virtues?

  2. Virtue (Latin: virtus, Ancient Greek: "arete") is moral excellence. A virtue is a trait or quality that is deemed to be morally good. What character traits can you think of that are morally good? You might want to think about how a good person would act. Aristotle believed that a good life is spent practising virtues.

  3. Resilience To have concern for the sufferings of others. To be thankful and appreciative Match up the virtues with their definitions. Volunteering To be able to seriously think about and consider an idea or something that has happened. To be concerned for, friendly and helpful to those around you. To offer to help without a charge. Integrity If you have finished, choose 3 of the virtues and think of an example of how you could show that virtue. Compassion Gratitude The ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties. The ability to think about something in a logical, sensible way. To act on your moral principles all of the time. To be enthusiastic and determined because you want to do something. The ability to recover quickly from difficulties. Reasoning Reflection Resourcefulness Neighbourliness Motivation
