Diabetes is a non-contagious chronic illness that affects how the body processes food into energy through the stages and types. It is characterized by increased blood sugar levels and insulin resistance. Common symptoms include increased thirst, hunger, blurry vision, fatigue, and weight loss. While some factors like genetics make diabetes unavoidable for some, others can prevent it by adopting healthy habits such as eating well, exercising, staying hydrated, and taking prescribed medications.
