  2. Aim: To reduce the number of women birthing their babies outside the Delivery Suite or Operating Theatre through the introduction of a safety huddle. Improving communication Enhancing patient flow

PDSA Quality Improvement Team of 2 Doctors and 2 Midwives The goal is to reduce the number of deliveries outside Delivery Suite or the Operating Theatre, thereby addressing patient safety issues and both women's and staff satisfaction The Safety Huddle was extended to take place 7 days a week, and also a limited huddle at 10pm nightly A continuous analysis of patient flow over a prolonged period of time will provide areas for further improvement and development. levels. Staff reported improved satisfaction with enhanced communication levels. Patient care benefited as high risk patients were identified earlier and care was prioritised according to needs. Colleagues were informed MDT Safety Huddles commenced (Monday to Friday.) Issues such as timing/space/workload addressed.
