About About Fl m Fl m Fl m is a village in Fl msdalen, at the inner end of the Aurlandsfjorden a branch of Sognefjorden. The village is located in the municipality of Aurland in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. In 2014 its inhabitants numbered 350.
The Flm Railway The Fl m Railway The world's most beautiful train journey The Fl m Railway is considered to be one of Norway's most important and spectacular tourist attractions. Every year, this amazing railway line attracts visitors from around the world and in 2014 Lonely Planet named it the world s most beautiful train journey... The line between Myrdal and Fl m is open throughout the year. A trip on the Fl m Railway provides a panorama of some of the wildest and most magnificent mountain scenery in Norway at any time of the year. You will see rivers carving their way through deep gorges, waterfalls leaping off steep mountainsides with snow-covered mountain peaks, as well as mountain farms clinging tenaciously to steep slopes. Down at the bottom, you can enjoy the scenic cultural landscape of the Fl m Valley and admire the beautiful Aurlandsfjord. Aurlandsfjord is a branch of Sognefjord, the world's longest fjord... Engineering skills The Fl m Railway is one of the world's steepest railway tracks on normal track. This 20-km line has a height difference of 866 metres, making an average gradient of 1 in 18. The horseshoe tunnel that spirals in and out of the mountain is a testimony of one of the most audacious and skilful feat of engineering in the history of Norwegian railways. A trip on the Fl m Railway is for everyone, whether on a family holiday or an activity holiday. gir BrewPub Viking inspired brewpub in Fl m https://www.flamsbrygga.com/aegir-brewpub gir is our very own brewery that opened in 2007 and is now known as one of the best craft breweries in Norway. gir beer is world-class, and has won gold, silver and bronze medals in international competitions. It all started with the beer, however we are not stopping there. We now also produce our own aquavit! gir BrewPub is part of the Fl msbrygga cluster situated on the Fl m Harbor, and is one of the biggest attractions in the area. The building is inspired by Norse mythology and reminiscent of a stave church. Inside are driftwood walls, dragon heads and a feature fireplace that radiates warmth and cosiness, with a chimney extending 9 m through the middle of both storeys. Sit on a fur rug by the open fire, and enjoy the aroma and flavour! The pub is on the ground floor and the restaurant on the first floor. There are small tables and long tables for up to 12 people. The perfect location for a romantic dinner for two, for meeting up with friends or for a work outing. We offer beer tasting, beer and food menus, and Viking-inspired menus that take you on a voyage of culinary discovery 1000 years back in time. It should be gir beer in and with the food! 8
