IRISH MUSIC INSTRUMENT There are many music instruments used in Irish music. These instruments include the bodhran , tin whistle, flute, concertina, harp, and many more!
CRUIT (SMALL HARP) This is a instrument not many people may know about. The harp is a stringed musical instrument that s has a number of individual strings. The strings are plucked with your fingers which then generates sound Harps are dated back too 3500BC
THE BODHRN This is a instrument many people will know about The bodhr n is stretched pig skin over the wood frame. The pig skin is hit with the wooden stick which generates sound.
BAGPIPES (CUISLEANNA) The bagpipes are also known as warpipes Music is created by blowing down a tube and and filling the bag with air. Bagpipes are also very popular in Scotland.
DAL BUINNE (FLUTE) The Dal Buinne is also known as the flute. The flute sounds when air is blown across the opening. The flute is very simulate a tin whistle.
FIELDS OF ATHENRY The fields of athenery was written by Pete St.John in 1979 whom was born in Dublin. The fields of Athernry is now covered by 500 artists in 50 languages. 846 covers are on YouTube! IRISH MUSIC GOES INTERNATIONAL Irish music is listened to all over the world. The Dubliners were not allowed to sing in the pubs. When they met in O Donghues Pub they were not allowed to sing in 1962. Irish pubs can be found in all over the world. Many travelling artists are making this popular. Like the chieftains or pogues. Songs that stir emotions include: Fields Of Athenry, The town I Love so we ll, Shannongolden, the patriot game and I watched the sunrise which is played at funerals and surprisingly wedding as well.
