Monitoring and Assessment Overview for Florida's Statewide Assessments (ARDA) in Spring 2023 encompass a range of standardized tests administered across districts to ensure test integrity and validity. Tests include FSA, FAST, NGSSS, and B.E.S.T., covering ELA, Math, and Science for various grade levels. The purpose is to maintain testing standards, administer tests securely, and safeguard results. FAST assessments are adaptive, with PM events tied to grade-level content blueprints. PM sessions are used for Grades 3-10, with different purposes for K-2 grades. Eligible students can retake FSA E.L.A. tests with specific timings and extended time options.

  4. FLORIDA ASSESSMENT OF STUDENT THINKING (FAST) New Coordinated Screening & Progress Monitoring Assessments aligned to the B.E.S.T. standards Assessments are computer-adaptive, items may become progressively harder as students successfully respond to items, and easier if students answer more questions incorrectly. Grades K -10 students take the ELA Reading and Grades K -8 students take the Mathematics Mathematics Calculators: Four-function (Grade 6) & Scientific (Grades 7-8) All grade levels and will be administered three times per year Each PM event is tied to a blueprint for the full grade-level content

  5. FLORIDA ASSESSMENT OF STUDENT THINKING (FAST) Progress Monitoring (PM)1 and 2 are used for informational purposes for Grades 3-10, and PM3 will be used as the summative assessment for accountability PM1, PM2, and PM3 for Grades K-2 are for informational purposes Each subject-area will be administered in one session, one day Students actively working may have a full day to complete the test Students enrolled in Algebra 1 and Geometry do NOT participate in FAST Mathematics assessments.

EOCs was in Winter 2022, and will be administered in Spring and Summer 2023 moving forward B.E.S.T. EOCs will be offered during each testing window (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer). The B.E.S.T. Algebra 1 and Geometry EOC assessments include a scientific calculator in the secure browser Handheld scientific calculators may be used by students. The FSA Algebra 1 EOC will remain available for Retake administration in the Fall and Spring only for students who took Algebra 1 under the Florida Standards The last administration of the FSA Geometry EOC was in Fall 2022
